Please note: Vit A Peels will not be performed on pregnant or breastfeeding women.

Is The Procedure Safe?

Yes.  Vita Peels are extremely safe.  This specialist-only peel is suitable for the majority of people with differing skin types.

Pregnant and breastfeeding women should not undergo any treatment using high concentration vitamin A.

How Much Does It Cost?

Please contact us for pricing.  A free consultation with one of our registered nurses is recommended prior to Vita Peel treatment.

How Long Does The Procedure Take?

The Vita Peel takes just 20 minutes to perform and requires minimal downtime. You are free to return to your daily activities after treatment but the peel agent must remain in contact with your skin for 6 hours. We therefore advise you to avoid heavy exercise or work that induces a sweat. The peeling agent is removed after 6 hours with a gentle cleanser and a non-comedogenic moisturizer in the comfort of your own home.

What Can I Expect During This Treatment?

Your skin will be cleansed to remove any make-up or residues. The peeling agent is then applied to your skin. You will not feel any particular sensation during the application but may notice that your skin feels a little tight nearing the end of the procedure.  After the Vita Peel 6-hour incubation period, gently remove the peel with a gentle cleanser.

How Long Do Results Last?

The effects of the Vita Peel are long term. Vita Peel is an efficient rejuvenation procedure that achieves radiant and refreshed skin negatively influenced by the ageing process and sun damage. Home-based healthy skin routines are essential to prolong the results. Our specialists will advise you about products that may assist in the maintenance of your new, clear and healthy skin.

Are There Any Precautions I Should Take?

After any skin peel new skin tissue will be sensitive. This means sun protection is extremely important. A broad-spectrum sunscreen (SPF 50+) should be worn daily and re-applied as directed. Sun exposure should be avoided whilst undergoing treatment and solarium use discontinued.

It is vital to refrain from any over-the-counter skin treatments unless approved by your treating specialist. Skincare products with active ingredients should be avoided two days prior and up to seven days post treatment. Strict adherence to post-treatment instructions as directed from your treating dermatologist ensures correct healing.

When Can I Expect To See Results?

Immediate results are seen at the completion of the first peel with a brighter, fresher complexion. Over time, this treatment evens out your skin colour, increases skin thickness and reduces laxity, sunspots and facial blemishes. Vita Peels also  stimulate new collagen fibre formation.  For optimal results, we recommend a series of Vita Peels over the course of several months.
